As a teaching school Carmel College is proud to be at the forefront of the many exciting developments in teaching. The outward facing model we have created over past years lies at the heart of our mission as a teaching school.
Our contribution to high quality ITT has been the promotion of a culture of enthusiasm for learning to a new generation of qualified teachers.
The development of leadership at every level is also top of our agenda and we work with all our partners in delivery of NPQH, NPQSL and middle leader programmes. We are committed to school-to-school improvement and collaboration. There is a genuine recognition that by working with other schools and sharing the strength and depth in the range of their experience, all schools will benefit from the learning and improved practice that inevitably follows.
Naturally, our innovative learning strategies stem from exciting ‘action and research’ developments and we believe they are the life blood in the development of classroom teaching.
